Client: Hotel Grand Pacific, Victoria BC
Date Completed: 1999
This prominent Victoria Hotel, adjacent to the Governmental Legislative Buildings and the Inner Harbour, underwent a major expansion that added a new wing and relocated the lobby to the Harbourfront side. The new lobby and porte cochere was positioned on an urban courtyard, with extensive water features and gardens. This new landscape is a compliment to its neighbours; the Empress Hotel, the Royal Museum and the BC Legislature and their public gardens and open spaces. This project was undertaken when Crosland was co-owner and principal of InSite Landscape Architecture (Victoria).
